AOKIstudio
is a a collective of directors/art directors/concept
artists, based in Paris/France and Tokyo/Japan, leading
a CG animation and special effects studio.
Since the creation of the studio in 2000, we have
been working in the field of digital media, pushing
towards high quality productions. As directors, our
interest is in image design and global consistency.
However, we equally like to take on full productions
or join other direction teams, leading specific art
direction tasks.
We have built our experience in various fields, working
out different rendering styles with the same passion
for experimenting on images and a demand for quality
animation. This inclination has put us in an unusual
place among other studios, giving us the oportunity
to work on productions where creativity is the key.
AOKIstudio
is a group of individuals with varied interests yet
all dedicated to the creation of rich environments
and stories. Curiosity and motivation leads us to
get interested in wide audience media as well as specific
technical or artistic projects.

Creative process
We always
begin with some sketch ideas... and a team of associated
artists brought together for the project. We give
great importance to pre-production & concept phases.
A wide range of proofing tools and references, borrowed
from cinema, comics or architecture are used to set
up art direction. This stage is a constant dialogue
with artists, to discuss ideas and ensure the validity
of the actual production.

can lean on a full and efficient CG production pipeline.
Because it was developped upon light and smartly managed
custom software/hardware, rather than heavy all-in-one
computing platforms, we can take advantage of a very
scalable production line, suited for quick creation.

has grown up upon constant practical knowledge exchange.
We tend to offer a great deal of autonomy to CG artists,
many of them have become "regular" free
lance. Today our interest in meeting artists and technicians
has remained unaltered. Feel free to submit press-books
